Ms. Shriver has decades of experience providing occupational therapy, forensic assessments, life care planning and expert testimony internationally. She has been accepted as an expert in occupational therapy, as a vocational expert, rehabilitation consultant, life care planner, and as a brain injury specialist in Administrative Hearings, as well as Supreme, State, US District, and Federal Courts.
She is an Approved Provider of Services by the Colorado State Department of Labor Workers’ Compensation Division (Qualified Rehabilitation Consultant); Federal Workers’ Compensation (OWCP); and the Social Security Administration Office of Hearing Operations (OHO).
Ms. Shriver is a Fellow of the American Occupational Therapy Association (FAOTA) and has served as Chairperson on many AOTA Task Forces. She is a Certified Life Care Planner (CLCP), a Qualified Rehabilitation Consultant (QRC), and an Associate Member of the American Board of Vocational Experts (VE). She has been a member of the AOTA – American Medical Association, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Work Group to develop Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes and has over 600 hours of coding training.
To recognize the role of occupational therapy in validating pain, she has authored an article for the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, Trial Talk and numerous publications for the American Occupational Therapy Association and was a contributor to the “Chronic Pain” chapter of the Occupational Medicine Practice Guidelines, 2nd Edition, Evaluation and Management of Common Health Problems and Functional Recovery in Workers, American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, Revised 2008. She has also given presentations on Functional Capacity Evaluations at the Mountain States Employer’s Conference and to the Colorado Bar Association. She provides rebuttal documents, occupational therapy, Stress Management, Conflict Resolution, brain injury recovery, and ADA consultation to employers and individuals.
